Outlets

Let's talk about the electrical outlets. They're obviously different from ours in the states, so I knew I'd be using adapters. But there's this other issue: half of the South African things you have that need to be plugged in don't even fit in to the socket. The fan in my bedroom, as well as my cell phone charger don't fit in SA outlets, so you have to buy a universal adapter. Same goes for my bedside table lamp. Then there's the hair dryer, that needs an even different adapter. And there's only one outlet per room (and none in bathrooms), so I'm constantly juggling adapters and wires and cables and things. By no means is it a complaint, merely a "yup, I'm definitely in another country" anecdotal observation.
